OUR HISTORY

The story of the Pham Family Foundation begins in Lac Thanh Village, Dien Ban Tay Commune, Da Nang, Vietnam, where generations of the Pham family were shaped by hardship, resilience, and an enduring belief in the transformative power of education. Born into poverty during a time of uncertainty and struggle, our ancestors understood that knowledge was more than a personal achievement—it was a path toward hope, dignity, and opportunity for future generations.

In the late 1970s to 1980s, members of the Pham family journeyed to Saigon in pursuit of higher education, carrying with them not only dreams for a better future, but also a deep sense of responsibility to uplift their family and community along the way. Through perseverance, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to learning, they laid the foundation for the values that continue to guide our family today.

After the Vietnam war ended, the Pham family immigrated to the United States in search of opportunity, stability, and a brighter future. Though we began a new chapter abroad, we never forgot our roots. The experiences of post-war Vietnam, the challenges of rebuilding life in a new country, and the sacrifices made by previous generations shaped not only our identity, but also our purpose: to give back and create opportunities for others.

From those experiences, the Pham Family Foundation was born—not simply as an organization, but as a promise to future generations. Through our annual scholarship program, “Đồng hành cùng khát vọng” , we hope to remind young people that they do not walk alone on their educational journey. More than financial support, the scholarship represents encouragement, understanding, and faith in the potential of every student striving to overcome obstacles and pursue their dreams.

We believe that every quiet effort deserves recognition, and that true success is built not only on talent, but also on compassion, integrity, resilience, and determination. The greatest value of our mission lies in the spirit of continuity: those who receive support today will one day become the guiding light and foundation for the generations that follow.
